Metro Baptist School, a ministry of Calvary Baptist Church, is a non-denominational, college preparatory Christian school located on a beautiful 45-acre campus in the metro Detroit area. Since 1976, our preschool, kindergarten, elementary, and secondary programs have been designed to accomplish our mission of educating and equipping young people for lives of learning, leadership, service, and as faithful followers of Christ
Metro Baptist School provides classes for students in three-year-old preschool through grade twelve. Total school enrollment averages over 700 students, with 50% attributed to elementary school enrollment in grades PK-6 (average class size of 20) and 50% to secondary school enrollment (average of 58 students per grade). School families represent over 110 different area churches.
The men and women who comprise the Metro Baptist School faculty are Christian teachers who desire to help students learn from a biblical perspective. All faculty members have obtained “Highly Qualified” teacher status for the State of Michigan and/or ACSI and are required to maintain current professional certification in their fields. 58% of our faculty holds advanced degrees. The average teaching experience of our faculty is 15 years with 11 of those years teaching here at PCA.
