Metro Baptist Schools began first in the heart of our founder, Dr. John Vaprezsan, Pastor of the Metro Baptist Church, Belleville, Michigan. Through his leadership, the seed of our school was then planted in the hearts of the people. The people of Metro Baptist Church worked hard and sacrificed financially that Metro Baptist Schools could become a reality. Both Pastor and the people prayed, and God blessed. God has graciously led dedicated Godly teachers to give of themselves to the molding of young lives for the Lord Jesus Christ. One of those teachers was Dr. Jim Lutz, who also served as our Principal for 34 years. Our Pastor, deacons, and the people of Metro Baptist Church give God the glory for leading us in beginning Metro Baptist Schools.

Students learn and grow in Kingdom community alongside peers and mentors. MBS’s Christ-centered staff and faculty not only teach, but also embody of Christian virtue and community.
