Metro Baptist School offers a unique fine arts program from begindergarten (Early 5’s) through 12th grade. The mission of the Fine Arts Program at Metro Baptist School is to discover and develop the God-given talent of young artists, reclaiming the arts as an expression of God’s love among the varied cultures of the world.
To accomplish this task, students are encouraged to explore their talents and develop their skills in both group and independent settings. Many opportunities are given to students to share their gifts while developing into the artistic beings they were created to be. Whether it’s theatre, band and string instruments, visual art, or vocal music, there are many opportunities to express their talents.
Creative self-expression, with a strong commitment to arts education, drives students to communicate their understanding of God, themselves, and the world in which they live. Character development such as respect for each other, teamwork, flexibility, and appreciation of God in their lives, is integral to the program. Students participating in the program develop a sense of self-awareness and their place in the plan of God
